It was with deep sadness that due to the coronvirus pandemic, we made the decision to cancel the annual MOLLY Prize Dinner. We made this decision for the health and safety of our community.
As an organization, we treasure this annual event as a time to recognize the best in American journalism and, of course, the legacy of Molly Ivins, and we’re sorry that we’re not able to celebrate together this year. This was not an easy call. Cancelling the Molly’s leaves the Texas Observer with a $250,000 budget shortfall.
We're so close to closing this gap in revenue, and are looking to our community to help us get there. Your gift today of $500 or more will get you access to our exclusive virtual Q&A with this year's MOLLY winner, Pamela Colloff, and Texas Observer editor-in-chief Tristan Ahtone.
AFter making your donation, we will contact you with Zoom login infromation for the Q&A, along with additional perks included with your gift amount such as early-bird access to a special online screening of Raise Hell: The Life and Times of Molly Ivins, and year of the magazine.
