Top Dog RVA 2019 Photo Contest
Deadline to enter is Sunday, March 24 at 11:59pm. Online voting will run March 26 – April 7, 2019.
One vote per person, per day.
GRAND Prize: The winning dog will be professionally photographed and appear with a full-page photo and bio in Richmond magazine's May 2019 Pet Guide.
Winner will be chosen by popular vote.
All applicants will receive a faux Top Dog RVA cover of Richmond magazine with the dog’s name and image. The cover will be a replica of a
Richmond magazine cover including the submitted dog’s photo displayed underneath the Richmond magazine logo. All entrants will also be featured
in richmondmag.com’s Top Dog RVA photo gallery on the contest page.
Each entry fee is $35.
This year, Richmond magazine will donate $5 from each entry to benefit the Pet Partners of Richmond.
Pet Partners is considered the gold standard for registering therapy animal teams, and these therapy teams visit in a variety of capacities. Once teams are registered, they coordinate visits with volunteer coordinators at medical facilities, nursing homes/rehabilitation/ memory care units, schools, special events, and workplaces. They have recently volunteered at:
Dogs On Call program with VCU medical center, St. Catherine's School: stress relief sessions for their Wellness Month initiative, Our Laughter In The Rain: a special event honoring women who are fighting cancer, Kaechele Elementary School: regular visits with students receiving support for special needs, and
Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Services: visits with both long and short term residents.
All applicants will receive a complimentary one-year subscription to Richmond magazine. (If you are already a subscriber, your
subscription will renew at the term of one year at the end of your current subscription.) Subscription includes 12 issues of Richmond magazine,
six issues of R-Home, two issues of RVA Traveler, Dine and Richmond Bride (total of 24 issues). You may gift the subscription to a family member, friend or business.
Applicants must be residents within the Richmond metro region.
